OVERTON United A are through to the final of the North Hants Junior Cup where they will face Andover New Swifts.
This was after they beat Bounty United 3-1 at Berrydown.
It was Ben Wootton who opened the scoring for Overton in the 35th minute with a deflected shot just outside the penalty area.
The Overton third string continued to press and a penalty was awarded but missed by Kyle Buckland and Wootton also missed a good opportunity to extend their lead.
Manager Paul Grandjean-Smith brought on Siyani Thomas for the second half and he made an instant impact by increasing their lead when he headed home a 40-yard free-kick taken by Steve Bonnor.
Overton added a third on the 56th minute, when Wootton as fouled in the penalty area and Thomas put away the spot kick. The only response from Bounty came in the 80th minute from Craig Barry.
Andover New Street Swifts booked their place in the final with a 1-0 victory over Longdog Soldiers. Manager Matt Morrison felt his team had more of the play and looked the better team and said: "We played very well, had plenty of chances, but failed to capitalise on our superiority."
Although he was proud of his players, was disappointed to lose their first semi-final. Chances fell to Sam Trodd, Sam Mosdell, Louis Purcell and Jake Pratchettt in the first half but it ended goalless.
Then 10 minutes into the second period Swifts scored their goal, a scrappy affair felt manager Morrison. Soon after going a goal down Mosdell sent Trodd through and only a fine save prevented the equaliser and although they continued to have a good deal of the ball, could not com up with the goods.
