HOOK kept alive their hopes of winning the Basingstoke and District Division One crown, after beating Bounty United 10-4 at North Warnborough.

Dan Mouradian gave Hook the lead in the ninth minute following an assist by Morgan Davies.

Mouradian made it 2-0 three minutes later, following a long clearance from Humphrey Sims. The Hook manager Sims had to play in goal this week, but was a not troubled until the 38th minute. By then Bounty was 5-0 adrift after Jon Noakes had headed in after a fumble by the goalkeeper and Tom Davies and Dan Mellors had added further goals. Mouradian completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute from Dan Framp's pass.

Bounty scored their second, before Hook's James Westwood headed home a cross from Adam Arthurs. A third from Bounty was followed by goals from Framp and Pete Silvester.

Bounty curled in their fourth, but two minutes from time Silvester scored again to complete this cricket score. Hook have Tadley Calleva to overcome this Saturday before their final game which is on May 6 against bottom club Basingstoke Athletic, against whom they should have no problems, however they must win both to clinch the title or Twentyten will take the crown.

Tadley Calleva A meanwhile were beaten 5-2 in a local derby with AFC Aldermaston Reserves, their first defeat since they lost 6-2 against Hook back in December. Things started well enough for them when in the 20th minute a flick on by Cameron Sweeney led to Luke Allison giving them the lead. Aldermaston were strengthened with a couple from the first team players and drew level in the 30 minutes through Mike Porter after a cross from Steve Francis.

The second half proved a different proposition for in the 54th minute Tadley fell behind and in a devastating seven minute spell they conceded three times as Lee Wheeler Ryan Alexander and Jake Thain all scored. Both Bradley Nash and Kye Theodore had chances to retrieve the situation without success and they went 5-1 down when Francis headed home a cross from Jordon Ellis. There was only a late goal in reply, a header by Peter White from a Gary Hibbs.
