OVERTON United B will face AFC Berg in the final of the Hampshire Junior B cup final at Portchester on April 8, after both won their semi-finals.

Overton were 6-0 winners at Labour Club, while AFC Berg won 8-0 at the Winklebury Wizards.

Although at full strength Labour Club were never at the races against Overton United.

They took the lead after nine minutes when Kyle Buckland received a pass from Warren Clarke and finished well.

The same player scored again on the half hour as he headed in Josh Smith's centre. United went 3-0 up after 51 minutes, when Wat Jones netted from a Jacob Burrows assist.

Buckland completed his third hat-trick in a row on 70 minutes and Jones netted their fifth from a Nuno Franco cross.

Liam Randall finished off a Jones move for their sixth and final goal. AFC Berg also cruised to victory over the Winklebury Wizards and never looked back after a Richard McCoubrie lob gave them the lead.

George Lagden and Alex Stevens had half chances for the Wizards.

Berg's second was scored by Paul Crowe in the 20th minute. After the break, Peter Lomax headed in a third from Mason Saunders' cross. Lee Neal and Saunders soon made it 5-0 and Carlos Gonzalez netted the sixth. Neal scored his second and finally Ashley Burchett ended the rout with the eighth.

Basingstoke Royals are through to the final of the North Hants Saturday Junior Cup after beating SparTen Vets 5-2 in Andover. Royals took a tenth minute lead through Cobi Judd after an assist from Ashley Taylor. It took SparTen just five minutes to level, but Royals regained their lead after 20 minutes when good play by Richard Impett led to Stephen Horton scoring. The home side levelled things by half time.

Royals went 3-2 up early in the second half from Steve Price's penalty, after Richard Willcock was floored. In the 70th minute a 35-yard volley from Horton extended the lead and Impett made the game safe with the fifth, with a great finish from the edge of the box. The pitch at Preston Candover was unfit therefore the North Hants May Cup semi final between Hook and Twentyten was postponed until this Saturday.
