The Basingstoke and District Division Two leaders Herriard Sports had no game last weekend and Overton United B moved into second spot after a 4-1 win over visiting Twentyten Reserves 4-1.

Twentyten matched them until the 36th minute, but trailed 2-0 by half time, as Yaka Kaba and Scotty Winterbourne scored.

Armon Ince added a third, before Dan Hancock pulled a goal back and then had a penalty saved by Overton's Gavin Alexander.

With three minutes left, the home side scored their fourth from Jake Burrows. put away a pass from Josh Smith.

AFC Berg proved far too strong for bottom of the table Origin, winning 7-1.

Kieran Alleyne, Carlos Gonzales, Dan Deadman and Paul Crowe were all amongst the goals for Berg, while Paul Kitchen netted for Origin.

Longdog Soldiers won their first league game of the season with a 2-0 victory at Chineham.

The first goal was scored by Sam Trodd in the 20th minute. It was a gift after the goalkeeper made a mistake following a corner.

The second was scored by Trodd when he curled in a shot too good for the goalkeeper after being put through by Joe Oates, recently transferred from Bounty United. The win takes them off the bottom of the table.

In the quarter finals of the Basingstoke B Cup AFC Aldermaston A had to concede their game against Winklebury Wizards. Although there has been a response to their appeal for new players it was too late for them to be included in this game. Wizards will now meet Herriard away in the semi-finals.
