TWO victories from Tron have moved them five points clear of second placed Basingstoke United in the Basingstoke and District League Division Two.
They enjoyed a 4-1 win over Winklebury Wizards last Wednesday and then on Saturday beat TDI Group 5-1. The goals against Wizards were shared between Gordon Birch, Connor Dawber, Richard McCoubrie and Jamie Ballantyne, with Adam Bartlett replying for Wizards.
On Saturday, new signing Finley Hall scored a hat-trick with Zac Reynolds and Sam Nicholls. TDI’s goal came from Stuart Perry.
Bounty United lost ground on their promotion rivals as they drew 4-4 draw withWinklebury Wizards.
It was one of their fringe players, youngster Joe Oates who scored a hat-trick after Andy Darmody gave them the lead.
The Wizards scorers were Robbie Costen, Greg Adams converted his own penalty and Adam Bartlett scored a brace including an equaliser three minute from time.
Promotion chasing Basingstoke United beat AFC Berg 7-0 as own goal plus strikes from Josh Lowther, Jordon James, Charlie Smith, Tom Hartley, Joe Cook and Ash Pearce made sure of the win.
Herriard Sports enjoyed a comfortable 4-1 victory at Basingstoke Athletic Reserves, even if the home side scored first from Wayne Bohn and Luke Allison saved a penalty.
Herriard goals came from Sam Weber, Neil Minto, Chris Dobbie and Steven Woods.
