IN THE Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One, Basingstoke Saints were quickly 2-0 down, as Jake Tanner netted twice for Dayers Fine Foods. Saints were level, by half-time as Liam James and Louis Woodman headed home.

After the break, Dayers went down to 10 men, but Charlie Manning with two goals and a strike from Matt Talmage secured a 5-2 win.

Tron have been playing midweek games to catch up and on Sunday took on Oakley, but found it was a fixture too far.

Tron were a goal down at half-time from Danny Bloma as he converted a pass from Matt Buckle, then shortly after the restart it became 2-0 as Myles Englefield scored.

Tron's Ross Cook made a solo run from half-way line, beating two players and rounded the goalkeeper to reduce the deficit.

The euphoria of the goal didn't last long, however, as Englefield completed his brace, and Bloma netted his second to make it 4-1.

Nathan Rae pulled another goal back for Tron, but Oakley were not finished as Buckle's pass found 16-year-old Josh Smith, who scored his first senior goal to complete a 5-2 win.

This was the first home defeat of Tron this season, as Oakley completed a league double over Tron and revenge for two cup defeats at the hands of Tron.

Tron had two fixtures during the previous week. The first was called off by FC Basing, who were unable to raise a team last Tuesday.

Two days later, Tron played Basingstoke Saints, beating them 11-1. Kieron Fuller, Nathan Rae, Mick Morey, and Siyani Thomas all managed to score braces, plus singles from Ross Soper-Dyer and Scott Winterbourne.

Danny Smith scored the contender for goal of the season, firing from 30 yards out into the top corner of the net.

At the top of Division Two, leaders Affini Technology drew 1-1 with Eastrop Eagles. Both goals were scored in the first half, as Joe Lawler netted for Affini, before Michael Fuller set up Bobbi Frost for the equaliser.

Affini are still unbeaten in seven games, but need four points from their last two games to secure the title. Next week's game against second-place Revolution may well be the decider.

In a scrappy game, Bramley United triumphed 3-1 against Team, with goals from Adam Bartlett, Dean Ridgers, and Stuart Leddy crowned Bramley's victory with a stunning 40-yard goal. Camrose Social and Chineham Reserves drew 2-2 in Division Three. Camrose's goals were a penalty from Byron Letch and Chris Waller's strike, while Chineham's came from Joe West and Joe Marsh.

Camrose Social ended their season with a four-match unbeaten run, so a good season for the club, aware that only one side can deny them runners up spot.

That is FC Benidorm of Stoke, who won their penultimate match 5-0 at home to Chineham Athletic.

Tom Langley got the first of his brace with a volley, Taylor Watts and Joshua Taylor added singles, while Luke Taylor launched a thunderbolt from 30-yards for the fifth.
