HOOK found top form against one of their rivals for the Division One Championship, beating Tadley Calleva A 6-0, which opens up a five point gap at the top.

They opened the scoring in the first minute when Pete Silvester found Andy Parker to a tap in.

Parker then made it 2-0 in the 12th minute, after Dan Mellor chipped a nice pass to give him the opportunity.

Tadley were not at full strength and held out until the 77th minute, when after good build up by James Neville and Mellors, substitute Andy Haig made it 3-0.

Luke Allison and Michael Abbott scorned chances to get Tadley back in he game and Hook cashed in with two from Jack McKee and one from Tom Davies as he snapped up a back pass from Abbott in added time.

Basingstoke Athletic moved off the bottom of the table, after they beat Hampshire Irons 3-1 and it is Irons who replaces them.

Kieran Challis gave Athletic an early lead and although they looking the better side could not increase the lead until into the second half.

Then Dale Bristow made it 2-0 from a Dave Trevelion pass and Matt Stillwell, added a third to make sure of the points. Irons lone reply came from Charlie Henry.

Overton United A travelled to Preston Candover to meet Hampshire A Cup Finalists Twenty Ten and returned with a point from a creditable 0-0 draw.

It was their goalkeeper Chris Parsons, Overton have to thank, as his handling throughout was excellent and two very fine saves from good attempts by Joe Hill and Carl Pearson.

The visitors had one very good chance to go home with all three points, when Jesse Todd broke through and only a very good save from Jack Nicholson saved the day.

DJS Telecoms managed to beat Basingstoke Labour Club 5-2 at Silchester despite having only 10 men throughout.

They were five goals to the good before Labour managed to find the net.

The opener came when Ash Elward ran through following a good ball from Nick Saunders, and Lee Neal went on a solo run for the second.

There was two good saves from Chris Hobson as Labour attacked, but Saunders then found Harry Rudd to make it 3-0.

Elward added another and it became 5-0 when Saunders netted.

Labour came strong at the end when Alex George played through for Cameron George and then a corner taken by Nat Read found Alex George, his shot hit the bar and Chris Waite following up to net.
