ROSS Cook scored a hat-trick as Tron came from behind to book their place in the final of the North Hants Sunday Senior Cup, as they won at Wheatsheaf 6-2.

The home side took the lead after four minutes, but Tron hit back as Cook, Mike Allison and Dave Parry made it 3-1 at half-time.

Cook struck twice more after the interval and James Tarrant made it 6-1, before Wheatsheaf scored from the penalty spot. Tron will face Dayers Fine Foods in the final.

Chineham Reserves lost their North Hants John Ward Cup semi-final 2-0 away at Andover RBL, who have only lost twice all season.

In the other semi, North Warnborough Reserves beat FC Benidorm of Stoke 4-1 with three goals coming in the first 45 minutes from Alex Jeffers, Sam Wilson and Sean Delfoss, before Tom Green pulled a goal back.

In the Basingstoke and District Division One, following a five-week spell without a game, Oakley took on Dayers Fine Foods.

Midway through the second half Jake Tanner put Dayers ahead 1-0 with a header, but Samie Aldoori levelled things, before Jordan Wainwright scored a last-minute winner for Dayers.

A competitive game between Republic of Chineham and Soldiers Return saw few goal-scoring chances.

Soldiers won it 2-0 as James Hartwell and Alex Izzo scored after the break to complete the league double.

The top two sides in Division Two, Affini Technology and UWS, drew 1-1. Affini's goal came from Nick Jupp.

The Bramley United struck four times in the second half to beat Eastrop Eagles, as Stuart Elliott and Adam Bartlett both scored braces.

North Warnborough arrived at Chineham without a goalkeeper, so manager Trevor Rogers went between the posts.

Chineham went ahead 1-0 after 30 minutes, but Niall Day levelled 10 minutes into the second-half with a breakaway goal.

Stan Charlston put the visitors ahead 2-1. However, Chineham maintained their unbeaten run of four games with an equaliser in the dying minutes from a corner. Chris Smith and Finlay Thompson scored for Chineham.

The Basingstoke and District Sunday League commemorate their 50th Anniversary this season, formed way back in 1965/66 season, when Beacon AFC were their first champions.

To mark the occasion a representative match has been organised against Aldershot Sunday League on Tuesday (7.30pm) at the Winklebury Football Complex. All are welcome.
