OVERTON United B cruised into the semi-finals of the Basingstoke Junior Cup, as they won at AFC Berg 6-0, writes PETER RAYNBIRD.

Goals from Paul Eldridge, Tito Martins, Kieran Chard and Richard Spiers had them four up and then Kyle Buckland netted a brace in the final 20 minutes.

Berg’s cause was not helped when they lost their goalkeeper Simon Edwards was injured in the second half and with their subs already used, they played the last half hour with 10 men.

l Sherborne St John join Hook level points at the top of the Basingstoke and District League Division One, after beating Basingstoke Athletic 6-3 at home and so completing a double over them.

Athletic took a two goal lead through Matt Button and Dean Mophasa, before Sherborne levelled from a Toby Hyde own goal and Alex Izzo.

Izzo then completed his hat-trick, before Sachin Rai strike made it 5-3 and then Sherborne’s Jarad Moore completed the win.

l Herriard’s Division Two game with visiting leaders Bounty United ended in a credible 1-1 draw in the very windy conditions.

Bounty's Jordon Willis had chance cleared off the line by Sam Weber in the first half.

Just after the hour mark, Sam Cato scored for the home side and then Matt Love equalised for Bounty.

After a bright start to the season, TDI Group suffered a 6-0 loss at AFC Aldermaston A.

They fell behind when Kevin Flain put away a good ball from Graham Bone and then Matthew Hayes made it 2-0, before Flain headed in a Tony Johnson to make it 3-0 at the break.

After the interval, Flain took his his tally to four and a bullet header from Ben Salisbury completed the scoring.
