BASINGSTOKE A Cup holders Hook moved into the semi-finals as they beat Overton United 5-0.

Overton’s cause was not helped as they lost Jamal Rose to a straight red card after just 30 minutes.

Hook goals came from Tom Davies (2), Andy Parker, Aaron King and Karl Perkins.

Hampshire Irons also made the last four as they won at DJS Telecoms 7-6 after extra time.

Charlie Henry had Irons two goals up in the early stages, but DJS levelled from Pete Lomax and an own goal. Henry completed his hat-trick before half-time, but after the break Lee Neal made it 3-3.

Simon Head put Irons ahead again, before Allan Morgan equalised.

With 10 minutes left, DJS’s Neal sent off and they found it hard with extra time to play.

Sub Sam Frizzle put Irons in front again and then his goalkeeeper Dax Bayley saved the spot kick by Shaun Blackman.

Henry scored either side of a Blackman goal as he atoned for his penalty miss and made it 7-5.

A late strike from DJS’s Chris McKenzie set up an tense finish to the game.

KYE Theodore scored eight times as Tadley Calleva A beat Basingstoke Athletic 10-0 and moved up to second in the Basingstoke and District League Division One table.

It takes his tally to 23 from eight games, but eight goals in a game is not as record as Benny Horton scored 12 for Hartley Wintney in the 50s, when they won 13-1.

The other two Tadley goals came from Michael Abbott and Luke Walkley as they led 6-0 at half-time.

Division Two leaders Herriard Sports maintained their 100 per cent record as they won at Overton United B 2-1.

Sam Webb opened the scoring for Herriard, before Rob Perrett equalised within five minutes.

The winner came after 36 minutes from Adam Nelson.
