KYE Theodore scored a dramatic late winner to earn Tadley Calleva A a 3-2 victory away at Sherborne St John in the Basingstoke and District Saturday League Premier Division.

Theodore had opened the scoring after 21 minutes, waltzing around two men before firing in a shot that flew in off the post.

Dec Shuttleworth then went close for Sherborne, who received a further boost when Tadley’s Stephen Burgess was shown a red card for abusive language.

The hosts levelled on 57 minutes, Sam Hilton firing home when Tadley failed to clear a corner, but they were then also reduced to 10 men, Shuttleworth seeing red, also for abusive language.

Theodore went close to putting Tadley back in front, forcing a fine save from Matt Livingstone, and they did go 2-1 up with 10 minutes to go, Andy Johnson firing home from 25 yards.

Jack Stallard seemed to have earned Sherborne a point when he fired home an equaliser from 30 yards, but Theodore headed home Bradley Nash’s cross to win the game for Tadley.

Rising Sun DC enjoyed a 10-1 win over Welly Old Boys.

There was a nine-goal thriller in Division Two, with Winklebury Wizards beating Herriard 5-4.

Louis Clayton put Winklebury ahead on the half-hour, but Martin Miles’ volley and two goals from Jake Burrows had Herriard 3-1 ahead at the break.

Alex Stevens and Charlie Smith pulled Winklebury level after the break, only for Burrows to make it 4-3, completing his hat-trick with a fine shot.

However, the Wizards kept going until the end, scoring twice in the final 12 minutes to win. Josh Dickens levelled things, with Dean Scott netting the winner.

Winklebury could have won by a bigger margin, but Herriard goalkeeper John Hamill saved a late penalty.

Bounty United’s promising season ended with a 3-0 defeat away at Basingstoke United.

Tom Hartley opened the scoring on 20 minutes, converting Jamie Lucas’ pass, and the same player doubled the lead before half-time.

Richard Reece hit the crossbar for Bounty, but they could not get back into the game and Dan Southgate beat goalkeeper Szymon Dowszynski one-on-one to complete the scoring.

Bramley United were unable to raise a team for their Premier Division trip to Basingstoke Royals. In Division Two, Sherborne St John Reserves conceded their fixture against AFC Berg.
