FC EVEREST missed out on their chance of a cup final as they lost 2-1 at AFC Allbrook in the North Hants Chris Price Cup semi-final.

Tron proved far too good for their Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One hosts Basingstoke Saints, winning 9-0.

The home side were already without a few players and suffered a further blow with the loss of their goalkeeper as he aggravated an existing injury after only 10 minutes.

Alex Izzo made it 4-0 at half-time and then, after the break, an own goal following confusion from a long throw into the box made it five.

Myles Englefield pulled one back for Oakley, but Ellis Hauman, followed by a brace from Jamie-Lee Gulpin, completed the scoring.

Chineham narrowly overcame visiting Hampshire Irons 3-2 in Division Two, with Kieron Alleyne, Matt Kempson and Shane West netting for the home side and Dave Brown and Alex Brundell replying for Irons.

New Inn beat North Warnborough Two 4-0, with two of the goals coming from Tom Mole.

In Division Three, mid-table sides Chineham Athletic and Chineham Reserves drew 1-1, with Ben Owen scoring for Athletic and Ryan Oates for the Reserves.

Bottom side DG Athletic were beaten 2-1 by Soldiers Return Reserves, as the winners came from behind.

Liam Rump scored the lone home strike with a punt from the edge of the area.

Lewis Judd equalised with a header before half-time and the same player scored the winner from a breakaway.

Unfortunately, Sam Lochlan broke his leg during the match.

Second-placed Team FC inflicted a first league defeat of the season on leaders Eastrop Eagles with a 6-2 victory.
