HOOK reached the final of the Basingstoke A Cup with a 6-2 victory over Rising Sun DC at Brighton Hill on Saturday.

It was an ill-tempered game, with referee Mick Walsh handing out six yellow cards and sending Rising Sun's Richard Kalwarcyk off in the first half for an alleged punch on Peter Pike.

Pete Silvester put Hook ahead after five minutes, but Joe Harris found the net with a free-kick before putting Rising Sun ahead from the penalty spot on 20 minutes.

Kalwarcyk's dismissal 10 minutes before the break had a big bearing on the game. By half-time, Silvester had scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and put Hook back in front.

A Tom Davies penalty made it 4-2 and further goals from Andy Parker and Phil Haig saw Hook run out clear winners.

Tadley Calleva A beat DCS Telecoms 3-1 to book themselves a place in the last four. Ian McFee as DCS ahead but Stephen Burgess scored twice to turn the game around before half-time before completing his hat-trick after the break.

The win means Tadley will face Basingstoke Royals in the other semi-final.

TwentyTen made it through to the quarter-finals of the Peter Raynbird Cup with a 9-1 win over North Warnborough, leading 8-1 at half-time.

Joe Hill found the net four times, Carl Pearson bagged a brace and there were also goals for Jordon Wainwright, Joe Osborne and Adam Elesgood. Lex Burns got North Warnborough's lone reply.
