MATT Love scored all of Bounty United's goals as they retained top spot in Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division Two with a 5-0 win over visiting AFC Aldermaston A.

The striker opened the scoring after 10 minutes, diverting Craig Williamson's shot past the goalkeeper. He doubled the lead soon after and headed home at the back post to complete a first-half hat-trick.

Williamson set up the fourth after the break with a strong run, but the best was still to come, Love heading the ball down for himself before looping an overhead kick beyond the Aldermaston 'keeper.

Basingstoke Athletic needed a late equaliser to avoid defeat to Basingstoke United.

Tobie Hyde put Athletic ahead early on but Dan Southgate sent Jamie Lucas away to level before the break and Tom Hartley's free-kick had United ahead early in the second half.

Hyde turned provider to give Ryan Evans the chance to equalise on 75 minutes but United looked set for all three points when Jay Stephens headed home after another Hartley free-kick had hit the crossbar.

There were just two minutes left when Athletic made it 3-3, Dale Bristow playing a one-two with Evans before firing in a shot that deflected in off a United defender.

Winklebury Wizards maintained their unbeaten run with a comfortable 5-3 victory over Preston Candover.

Ryan Watts put Ben Clark through to open the scoring for Winklebury after just 10 minutes and Hugo Carlos doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Robson Pereira had been fouled.

Clark headed home Matt Lowe's cross to make it 3-0 after 22 minutes, but Candover hit back to reduce the deficit to a single goal at half-time. Dan Trump netted from the spot after Joe Tomlinson was fouled and Mark Oram volleyed home to pull his side within a goal of drawing level.

They were unable to get on terms and Carlos' second penalty of the game increased Winklebury's lead early in the second half, with Clark firing in from range to complete his hat-trick on the hour.

Candover didn't give up, with Richard Spiers denied by the post before Oram got his second of the game late on.
