REPUBLIC of Chineham had an unexpectedly easy morning when they faced Basingstoke Saints in Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One.

Sam O’Brien and Dan Lawler both scored twice, with Mario Lemitzer, Adam Di Manbro and Matt Benner also finding the net as Republic ran out 7-0 winners.

Charlie Palmer, Ross Soper-Dyer and Nathan Rae were all on the scoresheet as Tron won 4-2 away at South View.

North Warnborough II enjoyed a big away win in Division Two, hammering Hampshire Irons 7-1.

Andy Parker had Warnborough ahead early on and while Irons managed to level, the visitors scored again to lead at half-time. Warnborough dominated after the break, with Ryan Thorpe and substitute Josh Giffington scoring twice, Parker getting his second and John Urquart also finding the net.

UWS and New Inn drew 6-6.

Soldiers Return Reserves completed a Division Three double over Chineham Athletic, winning 8-2 away from home.

Josh Buckingham’s hat-trick and Andy Butler’s brace had Soldiers 5-1 ahead at half-time, with Dan Nicholson netting for Chineham. Butler completed his treble after the break, with Joe Allnutt and Lewis Judd also finding the net for the visitors, while Dale Hooper replied for Chineham.

Kirk Smith hit a hat-trick for Eastrop Eagles as they beat Basing United 6-1. Keith Davies, Tommy Black and Bobby Frost also found the net, while Basing’s lone strike was an own-goal.

Team FC and DG Athletic drew 1-1, with Liam Rumpt one of the scorers.
