DESPITE being down to 10 men for most of the match, New Inn managed to knock 13 goals past visiting RAF Odiham Blades in Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division Two.

New Inn started with a bare 11 players and lost one of them to a hamstring injury in the early stages, but they were six goals ahead at the break and added a further seven in the second half, despite losing another player to injury midway through. Brett Denham scored seven times, Steven Bean got four and Tom Skinner and Ollie Osbourne also found the net.

Chineham beat Oakley Reserves 3-2 thanks to goals from Steve Emerson, Elliot Forsey and an own-goal.

Luke Kneller and Ben Irons netted in reply for Oakley.

Early goals from James Arnold and Ben Hasking had Hampshire Irons two goals up at North Warnborough II. Trevor Rogers and Tom Davies’ penalty pulled North Warnborough level and they led 4-2 at the break thanks to Davies’ second and Pete Keens.

Andy Parker’s brace completed the comeback after the break as the hosts ran out 6-2 winners.

UWS and FC Everest drew 1-1, maintaining Everest’s unbeaten record at the top of the table.
