NORTH Warnborough sprang a surprise in Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division One, beating early pace-setters Hampshire Irons 4-3.

Ben Salisbury put Warnborough ahead on 20 minutes and while Kieran Dent levelled before the break, further goals from Salisbury and Alex Burns had the underdogs 3-1 up with an hour gone.

Goals from Jay Greene and Chris Dobbie pulled Irons level but Burns netted his second of the game to win the game for Warnborough.

DJS Telecoms produced a spectacular comeback to beat Hook Reserves. Two goals from Jack McKee and Loz Wright’s strike had Hook 3-0 up at the break, but DJS were excellent in the second half, with Lee Neal netting a hat-trick and Ashley Elward and an own-goal completing a 5-3 victory.

Frank Spacagna put Twenty-Ten ahead against Overton United A, but the lead did not last long. Ryan Harrison hit a hat-trick, while Michael Pemberton, Gus Reis and Siyanni Thomas also scored as Overton hit back to win 6-1.
