BASINGSTOKE Town lost for the first time this season at the Camrose on Saturday, AFC Wimbledon picking up a 1-0 win in front of a crowd of 1,509.

The goal came in the 19th minute when Wimbledon striker Jon Main broke down the left and hit a cross-shot. Rob Watkins was on the spot to clear from close to the line but his hack away hit Tom Williamson and rebounded into the back of the net.

The visitors were much the better side for large periods but could not add to their lead, while Williamson missed Basingstoke's best chance to equalise.
