STRIKER James Taylor scored the Basingstoke Town winner to secure the Hampshire Senior Cup, in caretaker manager Steve Richardson last game in charge.
Taylor struck after 44 minutes, as he reacted first to a Scott Fitzgerald's shot, which was spilled by the goalkeeper.
A minute later, Ben Wells nearly added a second, but his shot come off the crossbar and was scrambled to safety.
The second-half saw Farnborough unable to break a solid Basingstoke defence as they held out for the victory.
