PAUL Oliver bagged a brace as Old Basing Rangers knocked out holders Basingstoke Royals in the first round of the North Hants Intermediate Cup
Oliver netted his first on 15 minutes after a good through-ball from Andy Harrison.
Royals created chances, with Craig Barker forcing a very good save from Dave Oliver, but on the half-hour Paul Oliver struck again to make it 2-0.
Royals’ Ama Bhuller had a goal disallowed and both Bhuller and Scott Roberts forced saves out of Dave Oliver before Barker finally found the net from a Stephen Horton pass, but it was too late for the holders.
