Welly show they have plenty in reserve

WELLY’S second string had seven players out, but still managed to continue their excellent run with a 3-1 win over Kingsclere Reserves in the Basingstoke and District division one.

They led when Brian Cook headed in a Stefan Dudov corner and Cook extended the lead from a penalty after Matt Baker was brought down when heading for goal.

They were then awarded another spot kick after Graham Jenkins was fouled and he took the kick for a three-goal lead. Kingsclere did have their chances and hit the woodwork on several occasions, but their lone goal, netted by Will Fowler, came too late to make any impact.
