Poison romp to impressive victory over Heathpark

THREE goals in the opening 10 minutes set Poison on their way to a 5-1 victory away at Heathpark in the Basingstoke and District League Premier Division.

A new look Heathpark defence could not deal with Carl Jones’ long throws as Carlos Gonzales, Martin Ging and Mark Howell helped themselves to easy chances.

A penalty conceded on 40 minutes led to Jones making it 4-0 and just after the break they took a five goal lead as Howell netted again.

Heathpark looked a much improved side in the second half, but could only manage the one in reply when on 82 minutes a throw out by goalkeeper Williams found Russell Williams and his cross was put away by Aaron Bremner.
