THERE was no joy in the Hampshire Intermediate Cup for local sides as North Warnborough lost 7-0 in Bournemouth to Shoulder of Mutton United, while Mars Drinks went down 3-1 at Portsmouth Dockyards’ Bosmere Rangers.
However, CI did enjoy success in the fourth round of the Junior A Cup, coming back from a goal down to beat Portsmouth-based Sevenoaks 5-1.
CI trailed 1-0 having hit the woodwork twice in the first half, but they netted five times without reply in the second half to book a last eight place.
Keith Davies bagged a brace, while Ally Crump, Paul Adams and Bobbi Frost added further goals to give CI their eighth win in a row.
