HAMPSHIRE Junior A Cup favourites FC Censo missed out on a quarter-final place as they were beaten 2-1 by Hook.
In a tough contest watched by 82 spectators at King George V Playing Fields, both sides had early chances.
Hook took the lead on 30 minutes after a good move between Tom Davies and Jon Noakes led to Darren Head being brought down and from the resulting penalty Davies made no mistake.
Mike Sewell in the Hook goal was in good form, but he was beaten just before half-time by Richard Kalwarczyk’s strike.
Hook had some defending to do in the second half when Censo were well on top but they then grabbed the winner 10 minutes from time as Davies was brought down in the area.
His spot-kick was saved, but he followed up to net the rebound.
