BASINGSTOKE Town were completely dominant during their Blue Square South trip to Lewes – but came away with only a point to show for their efforts.
The home side made a bright start, testing Chris Tardif twice in the opening six minutes, but Town took over after this.
David Pratt had their best chance, failing to convert when through on the ’keeper, while Nathan Smart twice went close with good left-foot shots as the game reached half-time goal-less.
It was more of the same after the break, with Greg Draper and Ross Adams having the best chances to snatch all three points for the visitors.
