BASINGSTOKE Town’s dismal home record continues as they lost 2-1 to struggling Hampton and Richmond Borough at the Camrose on Saturday.
Town were far from their best throughout but took the lead from the penalty spot ten minutes in, Gary Frewen converting after a good run from David Pratt ended in a foul.
Hampton were on top for the rest of the match and scored a deserved equaliser 20 minutes from time, Yaku producing an acrobatic overhead kick to find the corner of the net.
Late drama followed as Ashley Mitchell was sent off for a foul on Yaku, who headed home the winner despite looking distinctly offside soon after.
