AFTER suffering their first Basingstoke and District Saturday League defeat of the season last weekend, Hook were just too strong for visiting Tadley Calleva A winning 6-0.
This moves the leaders nine points clear of Overton United A, but Twentyten are well placed to catch them with four matches in hand.
Hook's goals came from Dan Mauradian (3) Dan Framp, Adam Arthurs and Dan Mellors.
Division Two leaders Basingstoke Athletic suffered their first league defeat when beaten 5-3 by Sherborne Saints who made it six out of six to move one point behind Athletic.
Matt Kelly led the Saints' scoring with four and Cobi Judd got the other.
The Athletic scorers were Paul Taylor, Ryan Watts and Matt Livingstone Chineham were 5-0 up at half time against bottom of the table Basingstoke Colts and eventually won 7-0. Tim Manson in midfield was their man of the match. Shane West led the scoring with a hat-trick, while Ricky Smith (2), Graham Jenkins and John Smith also netted.
