SAM Hamilton bagged a hat-trick as Tadley Calleva moved up to second in the Wessex League Division, after an extraordinary 6-5 win at leaders Laverstock and Ford.

The visitors raced into a 5-1 lead by the break and then had their goalkeeper sent-off with the score at 5-4.

Tadley went 1-0 down, but soon hit back as Danny Vickers netted a cross from Brett Denham and then the same player gave them the lead.

Paul Coventry then made it 3-1.

Tadley, who had the wind advantage in the first half from Storm Brian, scored twice more from Hamilton.

After the break, the home side made a couple of changes and fought their way back into the contest making it 5-3.

Then an Adam Bourner cross was caught by Tadley’s Kieran Greene goalkeeper under a challenge from Danny Finnigan. The linesman signalled the ball had crossed the line.

The Tadley goalie could not believe it. He threw the ball at the linesman and was shown a straight red card.

Defender Scott Kinge went in goal and he was soon in the action as Finnigan went clear, but his effort was saved.

Almost immediately Tadley went on the attack and a pull back from skipper Graham Mankin saw him receive a second yellow card.

From the free-kick, Coventry’s effort was parred and Hamilton followed up to complete his hat-trick.

The home side reduced the lead to one and one last save from Kinge made sure of the victory.

After the game Tadley boss Danny Dolan said: “This was a massive three points and Scott Kinge was our hero going in goal and made two great saves."

This Saturday, Tadley are at home to Totton and Eling.
