HATCH Warren Phoenix FC have been participating in a recent FA initiative to attract more girls to football.

The club run sessions every Saturday for those in school year 1 to 6 at Hatch Warren Community Centre fields and they have become one of the most well attended within Hampshire.

They have been overwhelmed at just how many girls are interested in playing the game, but were not willing to mix with boys game.

Whilst they have a fair few playing within our current teams we are over the moon at just how many are attending on a Saturday morning.

The Phoenix ‘Wildcats’ recently welcomed special guests Becky Jane and Rachel Furness from Reading FC ladies who joined in the session, coaching and also presenting Alannah Chan with the Hatch Warren player of the month award.

The sessions return in September, for more into contact the club on info@hatchwarrenphoenix.co.uk l The club are also very pleased to announce the return of the highly successful Intro to Soccer School to boys and girls heading into school year R and 1 from September.

Many sessions for children at this age are over complicated or run by a commercial entity so young children are missing out on the other aspects, life lessons and values team sport can bring.

For anyone who has a child interested in coming along for some complimentary sessions please contact info@hatchwarrenphoenix.co.uk
