BASINGSTOKE Town manager Terry Brown has secured another juicy looking friendly for the Dragons in National League side Woking.

The Cards will visit the Camrose on Tuesday July 18 and will see the Surrey Senior Cup winners take on the Hampshire Senior Cup winners in what should be an excellent game.

This will Town’s third home game of their friendly campaign after playing Eastleigh on July 11 and Crystal Palace under-23s on Saturday July 15.

Two more away games have also been added with the Dragons travelling to Leatherhead Town on August 1 and then to Salisbury City four days later. They beat the Wiltshire side 6-1 at the Camrose last July.

Leatherhead are in the Ryman League Premier Division side, while Salisbury are title favourites for the Southern League Division One South West.

Looking at his pre-season Brown said: “We now have 11 games which will give me a great opportunity to view trialists. I think the three home games will be really good ones for the fans and the players.

“Of course for the game against Salisbury I will be looking to pick barring injuries my starting XI for the following week’s league opener.

" I think this year we have a number of tough games, but it will get us ready for the league campaign ahead.”
