BASINGSTOKE Town manager Terry Brown is still looking to add a third home game to the Dragons pre-season campaign.

At the moment Town have already chalked in two games at the Camrose.

The first is against National League outfit Eastleigh on Tuesday, July 11 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Then on Saturday July 15, the Dragons will entertain the young guns of Crystal Palace under-23s.

Both should be excellent games as Eastleigh will be looking for promotion this season and the young Eagles of course will be out to impress to earn a place in the Premier League side.

Town boss Terry Brown said: “I think both home friendlies will be very good both for the and and players, but I am looking to add another home game in before the season starts on Saturday, August 12.”

Pre-season for Town starts on Tuesday, July 4, with a trip to Wessex League Division One outfit Alton Town, which is where the Dragons train.

The next game on Saturday, July 7 is away at Wessex Premier side Team Solent.

This is then followed by the two home games.

Town are on their travels again on Saturday, July 22 to Bracknell Town where they will face former defender Joe Gater who joined the Berkshire side last month.

Bracknell will give Town a good test as they finished second in the Hellenic League Premier Division last term.

On Saturday, July 29, the Dragons will be one of four teams taking part in the Invitation Cup at Farnborough.

The opening game at 1pm will see Hartley Wintney take on hosts Farnborough, before Town take on Fleet Town at 3.30pm.

The two winners will then play each other in Sunday’s final starting at 3.30pm, the losers will play each other in a third and fourth play-offs earlier at 1pm.

As well as Gator, goalkeepers Alex Tokarczyk and Kieran Greener have both left Town.

Midfielder Dan Collier has also left the club after taking up a graduate position at an accountant firm.

Striker Aaron Redford has also departed and joined Huginn FC in Iceland.

Brown has spoke to the rest of squad as he looks to build a solid core for a second season in the Southern League Premier Division and will be looking for a two young goalies with no doubt one being on a season loan.
