POPLEY Puma under-sevens have been given a helping hand by local McDonald’s franchisee Tony Bennett,.

They have provided the players with new kits for this season.

The team have recently performed exceptionally well in the grassroots football tournament the Peter Houseman Youth League.

The young players recorded a 100 per cent record this season having won all 33 games they played.

In the process they most certainly had their shooting boots on as they managed to score an incredible 196 goals, which is an average of just under six a game.

Franchisee Tony Bennett and all his restaurant staff are big supporters of the Popley Pumas and are thrilled the team has had such a great season.

Bennett, owns and operates three McDonald’s in Basingstoke area.

He said: “Popley Puma under-sevens is a great football team that is dedicated to helping young players from the area enjoy the game.
