BASINGSTOKE Town will hoping to end their season in style, by lifting some silverware and winning the Hampshire Senior Cup final.

The county showpiece takes place at St Mary’s Stadium home of Southampton FC on Tuesday evening with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Standing between the Dragons and winning the trophy are AFC Bournemouth.

Town have enjoyed an excellent end to their league campaign, being unbeaten in their last six games.

They will be keen to give their loyal fans, who are sure to travel on mass to the final, something to cheer about, after a very testing season off the field.

Basingstoke manager Terry Brown believes the game will be an excellent match and said: “Both sides like to play football and they will be able to do that on a carpet of pitch. I have the difficult job of picking my team and I am sure some of them will be disappointed.

“I really hope for everyone at the club, we can end the season with a win and lift the trophy. I have happy memories of St Mary’s as I won there with Aldershot in the same competition.”
