FOR this month’s Hampshire FA column we focus on the up coming county cup final.

We are delighted to announce that Southampton FC is to host this season’s Hampshire FA Saturday Senior Cup Final, which is sponsored by BSA Regal Group.

This will see AFC Bournemouth go head-to-head with Basingstoke Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).

AFC Bournemouth will be hungry for a win come the 2nd May, which would see the club lift the cup for the first time since 1989.

They will be looking to go one better when they lost out to Alresford Town in 2013 at the Vitality Stadium.

The Cherries have looked impressive this season in the competition, with victories against Brockenhurst, Bashley, Gosport Borough and Hartley Wintney.

Basingstoke Town last won the Hampshire FA Senior Cup in 2014, beating Havant & Waterlooville on penalties.

Terry Brown’s side will look to emulate that success once again.

On route to the showpiece event at St. Mary’s Stadium they defeated Farnborough, Cowes Sports, AFC Stoneham and Winchester City Ticket prices are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, and are available to purchase on the evening of the game.
