BASINGSTOKE Town are now unbeaten in their last three games after they drew 2-2 at Redditch United.

For the second game running manager Terry Brown made five changes to the side which beat Chesham.

All the five substitutes from the Chesham game came into the starting line-up. They were Aaron Jarvis, Sam Deadfield, Marcus Johnson-Schuster, Dan Collier and Joe Gater.

Terence van Cooten and Charlie Kennedy dropped to the subs bench, while Aaron Redford, Nana Owusu and Ashleigh Artwell were ruled out due to injury.

The home side started the better and took the lead in the ninth minute from Zaqib Hussain.

Despite conceding an early goal, the Dragons roared back and Deadfield hit a free-kick just over the bar and then Collier forced a good save from the home goalkeeper. Town levelled on 35 minutes as Johnston-Schuster played a one-two with Deadfield and then laid the ball back to Partridge, who slotted home from 10 yards out.

The visitors still looked the better team after the break and good link-up play between twins Michael and Rob Atkinson, saw the latter’s shot blocked.

Town took the lead on 63 minutes as Partridge’s cross field pass found George Bennett and he fired in a lovely cross which Jarvis met at the near post to make it 2-1.

The Dragons were on top at this point, but the home side carved out an equaliser thanks to Luke Kean with 15 minutes to go.

Both sides looked for the winner, but it ended 2-2 with Town reduced to 10 men in injury time after defender Gater picked up a second yellow card for dissent.

Town are back in home action next weekend, when basement side Cinderford are the visitors.
