TADLEY Calleva bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over East Cowes Vics in the Wessex League Divison One.
The home side were soon a goal to the good after leading scorer Brett Denham fired home scored.
Soon after, Sam Hamilton hit the crossbar and could have led 3-0 at the break.
Tadley made sure of the victory as they Scott Kinge scored from a Grant Powell’s corner, the striker having returned from Amesbury. The game also saw Josh Edwards make his debut at centre-half.
A delighted manager Danny Dolan said: “It was a good win and Scott Kinge was our man-of-the-match.”
On Saturday, sixth-placed Tadley travel to Shaftesbury who are just above them in the table.
Dolan said: “We are looking to get a run going, but it we know it will be a tough game.”
