MATT Kelly scored four times to take his tally to 12 in six games as Basingstoke Labour Club beat Origin 8-1 in their Basingstoke B Cup quarter-final.

It took him eight minutes to open their account, Kelly scoring from a Wayne Barlow cross.

It became 2-0 as Barlow's corner was headed in by Louis Chambers.

Barlow then scored their third following a Josh Dickens' corner.

Origin then hit back with a goal from Karl Holbrough, who cut in and his finish found the far corner of the net, but just before half time Kelly netted his second from a Jack Barlow cross.

Aaron Johns came on as substitute and soon made it 5-1. Kelly completed his hat-trick and added another before Dickens found the top corner from a Kelly assist.

Current Division Two leaders Herriard Sports met Twentyten Reserves, an easy looking tie on paper, but although they had a fight on their hands from the start, they finished 2-0 winners.

These two met in a league match on the opening day of the season when it ended 9-1 in Herriard's favour, but this time they could have been two goals down in the opening five minutes.

Dan Hancock fired over the bar from six yards out and Franklin Spacagna missed a chance from close in.

Chris Dobbie hit the bar for Herriard in a close first half and they took the lead after 51 minutes.

Craig Hine's corner was headed in by Dobbie headed in.

They doubled their advantage from another corner this time taken by Simon Jane met by the head of Sam Cato.

Twentyten manager Graham Jenkins felt his much improved side deserved something for their efforts.

AFC Berg manager Dave Brickwood has strengthened his squad recently and two of the newcomers contributed to this comfortable 7-2 win against Longdog Soldiers.

One of them was Mason Saunders who scored twice in the opening 20 minutes and Jack Hodge made it 3-0 by the break.

Although Terry Dingley pulled a goal back to make it 5-1 and Louis Purcell netted their second.

Another of Berg’s new signings Lee Neil contributed with a hat-trick and Carlos Gonzalez scored the seventh.

The final quarter-final tie between AFC Aldermaston A and Winklebury Wizards was postponed and will be played next month.

The only league match was in the Basingstoke and District Division Two where visitors Overton United B won 11-0 against Chineham to move up to third in the table.

Andy Barfoot opened the scoring in the tenth minute and Wat Jones made it 2-0 five minutes later.

Barfoot then netted his second and by half time they were 5-0 thanks to a solo strike from Armand Ince and Jones' second.

Little was seen of the Chineham attack, although Ben Cronin did hit the post for them. Ewan Westwood added another two minutes after the break from the penalty spot.

Scotty Winterborne then helped himself to a brace, Jones completed his hat-trick and singles from Josh Smith and Jacob Barlow completed the rout.
