TADLEY Calleva made it through to the final of the North Hants Senior Cup after a 4-1 victory over visiting Winchester Castle.

They will face either Alresford, Andover Lions or Fleet Town in the final, which will be in the spring.

Visiting Castle had no answer to Tadley in the first 45 minutes with Brett Denham first to strike with a volley as he converted a cross from Sam Hamilton.

Andrew Charsley with a free-kick doubled the advantage and then Hamilton made it 3-0 by half-time.

After the break, Castle pulled a goal, back the tie was made safe when Harry Monger was brought down in the box and Charsley slotted home the penalty for the 4-1 win.

Talking after the game, Tadley manager Danny Dolan said: β€œIt is great to get into another final, which is my third in five years for the club.

"We will now have to wait to see who we face.”

Last Saturday, Tadley lost at home to Christchurch in the Wessex League Division One 2-1, with Cian Condon scoring a minute from time.

The result saw Tadley slide down to sixth in the table and on Saturday they have a tough trip to high flying Baffins Milton Rovers who are three places above them.
