THE Ark Cancer Charity Stadium is the place to be on Saturday afternoon, for a mouth watering derby game between Basingstoke Town and Slough Town.

Terry Brown's young chargers will be out to take their biggest scalp of the season so far when Southern League Premier Division leaders come to town.

The Dragons will be hoping to roar again, as they did on Tuesday night, when they best Kings Langley 3-0.

They will hope to continue this form on Saturday and the young guns are sure to be up for for the game.

Slough for whom the Town boss played for in the 1970s are setting a blistering pace in the division having lost just once this season.

A run of eight straight wins was ended last weekend, when they became the first team to take a point away from Merthyr.

The Slough team includes two former Town fans' favourites in Simon Dunn and Nathan Smart and they are expected to bring a big following to Basingstoke to cheer them on Looking ahead to the game Town boss Terry Brown said: "Slough are a good team and they going really well at the moment and we will have to play at our best to match them.

"We can go out and enjoy ourselves as we have nothing to lose, they will come here looking to win."

Tuesday's win move the Dragons up to tenth in the table and came hot on the heels of a 0-0 draw at Biggleswade and Brown added: "We should have won on Saturday, so it was nice to do it tonight.

"I felt Aaron Jarvis was back to his best tonight and having Charlie Kennedy back battling away in midfield really helped us. The second half was excellent and hopefully we can play the same on Saturday."

With a mounting injury list, Brown is expected to pick the same team, which was added to by Marcus Johnson Schuster with whiplash from Saturday's game.

Striker Romone Rose is also carrying a ankle injury and George Bennett has a groin strain, so was on the subs bench on Tuesday.
