ROSS Cook hammered in another hat-trick and Sam Argent netted a brace as Hartley Wintney extended their lead at the top of the Combined Counties League Premier Division to nine points with 5-0 victory over sixth placed Bedfont Sports.
Cook scored the opener as he converted a cross from Steve Noakes for Hartley's 50th league goal in 15 games.
The same striker struck again 10 minutes later, before Argent opened his account.
Cook completed his hat-trick just after the hour mark, and then turned provider as his cross was put in Argent to complete the 5-0 win.
After the game, joint manager Daniel Brownlie said: "Whilst Argent and Cook will take the plaudits I'm sure those two will be the first to suggest that it was an all round team performance that was worthy of a five nil win.
"Don't be fooled into thinking that because of the scoreline we had played a poor side, far from it. It was a really composed and assured performance from the boys."
He added: "Solid defensively and ruthless going forward. The result was of of course all important, but after two below par performances - we were keen to put on a display and we absolutely did."
On Saturday, Hartley entertain Colliers Wood who are 12th and then on Tuesday night 11th placed Spelthorne Sports are the visitors.
