BASINGSTOKE footballers Bailey Craig, Saurav Barnet and Khalil Bentaleb were part of Hungerford Town Youth Academy which became the first British team to reach the final of the Copa Catalunya, an under-19 football tournament.
They travelled to Lloret de mar in Spain to take part in the event, which has been dominated by German teams in recent years.
Craig 16 and 17-year-olds Barnet and Bentaleb were making their first trip abroad with the team.
In total 16 teams started in four groups, that progressed to quarter-finals and a knockout stage.
Hungerford Town being the only English team to make the final eight, the rest of the sides being German and French.
After two games and the end of the second day the Berkshire side topped the group.
As the days and matches went by, the team found themselves picking off the other teams until they found themselves n the final against French side UA La Valette, where they lost 2-0.
