GREG Donaldson scored 90 and took three wickets as Old Basing recorded a resounding 161-run victory over Hayling Island in the Hampshire County Division Two.

It was the villagers first win of the season and Donaldson helped the home side to 223-8.

The islanders were then bowled out for 62 as Darren Turner (3-6) and Dan Weir (3-21) also did well with the ball.

The victory moved Old Basing up to 13th in the table and this week they are at home to fourth placed Rowledge II.

Basingstoke and North Hants III won by four wickets as Andy Neal (67) and Andy Giles (49) helped the Bountymen to 235-6.

Earlier in the game, visiting Bramshaw had made 232-8 with Rakitha Perera (4-48) the top bowler.

Basingstoke, fifth in the table, are away at lowly Fair Oak II this week.

Hook and Newnham Basics II remain top of Division One after a thrilling one wicket win at Totton and Eling II.

The home side made 277-9, as Liam Doran (3-48) and Kerr Franklin (3-54) led the attack.

In reply, Jack Robson (69), Matt Buckingham (51) and a quick fire 43 from Andy Darmody saw Hook to 280-9.

The leaders have a top of the table clash this weekend when Alton II visit the King George V Playing Fields.

Hartley Wintney were all out for 183 and lost by four runs to visiting Hursley Park II, as Matt Rudd finished unbeaten on 58 in Division Three North.

Earlier Tomas Millward (4-30) and Dan Reynaldo (3-12) bowled Hursley out for 187.

the result leaves them 11th in the division and Hook II are up to 13th after a 16 run victory at South Newton.

The home side were bowled out for 166, as they tried to chase down 182-5.

Dan Moore 55 and Will Buckingham 53 were the top dogs for Hook.

Overton (165) lost by four wickets at OTS and Romsey III, but are still ninth.

AWE Tadley (160-5) won at Holybourne (156-9) by five wickets, as Mike Burt took 4-43 in Division Four North.

Ramsdell enjoyed a 46-run success at Oakley as the visitors made 176-6, as Amila Peiris (58) and then Ed Coetzer took 4-29 as the Oaks were bowled out for 120.

Kyran Munt scored an unbeaten 76 as leaders Odiham and Greywell (180-3) beat Old Alresford (178).

Odiham are at mid table Wherwell this weekend.

James Bevan (99) and Tom Trinder (84) shared a 176 partnership to help second placed Whitchurch to 278-5.
