BASINGSTOKE Town have announced their first pre-season game and it will see the Dragons make their first ever trip to Guernsey.

Town will face a familiar face, when they visit Footes Lane, as vice-captain of the Channel Island’s side is Chris Tardif a former Dragon’s goalkeeper.

Guernsey are a Ryman League Division One side, which is one tier below Town and have an excellent fan base on the island.

Meanwhile, three more of last season's Dragons have left for pastures new, with two of them remaining in the National League South.

Defender Tom Bird has joined Chris Flood at Gosport Borough and midfielder Shaun McAuley has signed for Oxford City.

Striker Lloyd Macklin will return to face Basingstoke next season, after he joined Town's Southern League Premier Division rivals Hayes and Yeading.

There has been a change to the line-up of the Southern League Premier Division for next season, after Cinderford declined promotion.

They have been replaced by Corby Town from the Northern League Premier Division.

This means Stamford are no longer relegated and Eversham have been moved from the Southern League Division One South and West to the Northern League Division One South.
