TADLEY Calleva maintained their promotion push with a 4-0 victory over visiting Totton and Eling on Tuesday night.

The home side cruised to a 3-0 lead as James Tennant scored their opener after good play from teenager Archie Fawcett.

Brett Denham beat the goalkeeper for pace as he nipped in to score their second and then Tennant made it 3-0.

After the break, Tadley added a fourth as Conner Thorn scored his first ever senior goal.

This closed the gap on second placed Amesbury to eight points and Wiltshire side are in action this evening against champions Portland needing to win to end Tadley's promotion.

If this did not happen Tadley will go in tomorrow night's gameat Hythe and Dibden knowing their promotion dream is still on.

They will then travel to Amesbury on the weekend for their biggest game of the season.

On Saturday afternoon, a brace of goals from Tennant and Denham helped Tadley Calleva beat Ringwood 4-2.

The home side were quickly out of the blocks as they scored in the first minute, as Tadley goalkeeper Tom Hindmarsh rolled the ball out to Tennant and he took it the length of the pitch to score.

The lead was doubled by the break, as Denham opened his account in the game.

Ringwood pulled a goal back with a cross cum shot, but Tennant restored the two goal advantage.

The visitors once again replied, but Denham with his second of the game made sure of the victory.
