TADLEY Calleva A joined TwentyTen in the last eight of the Hampshire A Cup, after beating Andover side SparTen 7-1 at Barlow’s Park.

Ace marksman Kye Theodore led the scoring with four goals, but it was midfielder Stephan Burgess who opened the scoring in the 20th minute.

Lee Champion netted another before Theodore completed a straight hat-trick for a 5-0 advantage at half-time.

Early in the second half, Andover pulled a goal back, Theodore and Peter White completed the magnificent 7-1 scoreline In the same competition.

Hook lost at Ryde Saints 3-0 with their best chances coming from Jon Noakes and Charlie Page who had a good effort cleared off the line.

Tron FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the Hampshire B Cup, beating Basingstoke United 4-1 on penalties.

United's Tom Hartley scored from a penalty after a handball on 12 minutes, before Tron's Sam Nicholls levelled things.

Charlie Smith put United in front again and then three minutes after the break Nicholls blasted a penalty over the bar.

Smith scored again to make it 3-1, but Tron stormed back as Richard Kalwarczyk and Jamie Ballantyne sent the game to penalties.

Nicholls, Lorne Howard, Ross Harwood and Mikey Thomas were successful for Tron, while Hartley was the only United player to beat goalkeeper Adam Aimable.

Overton United A were beaten 3-2 after extra time at Kings Somborne in their North Hants May Cup quarter-final, when the game should have gone to penalties, so there is an investigation underway to determine the result.

Overton led 2-0 at half-time thanks to a brace goals from Tim Watts, before the home side netted twice after the break and then won it in extra time.

There was no joy for Sherborne St John, as they lost 2-1 South Wonston Swifts, despite taking a first-half lead thanks to an own goal.

In the North Hants Junior Cup quarter-finals, Hampshire Irons lost at Herriard 1-0 as former striker Chris Dobbie scored the winner.

Matt Goodman hit the post and Adam Francis the bar for Irons, before Dobbie converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box.

Herriard will meet TDI Group in the semi-finals after they won 3-0 at CK Andover thanks to a brace from Hugo Carlos, after Graham Jenkins opened the scoring.

There was a big shock at Brighton Hill, where Division Two bottom side Winklebury Wizards knocked out Division One outfit Basingstoke Athletic 4- 3, as Adam Bartlett scored the winner.

Scott Large put the Wizards ahead after 47 minutes, before Lee Grady equalised.

Brad McGuigan restored Winklebury's lead, but Athletic replied from Michael Borbely and Ryan Evans.

Large scored again for Wizards, before Bartlett's winner three minutes from time.

The Wizards will play either SparTen and Over Wallop in the final four.
