TOM Davies was the match winner for Hook as he scored a hat-trick for Hook as the Basingstoke Saturday and District leaders beat visiting Overton United A 3-1 in the Basingstoke and District League Division One.

The visitors had the better of the first 45 minutes and Steve Bonner scored, before Davies hit his trio after the break Hampshire Irons lost at Twenty Ten 3-0 as Joe Hill opened the scoring with a clever back heel and then converted a penalty.

Charlie Henry went close for Irons with a header that hit the post, before Jordon Wainwright netted Twenty Ten's third.

The withdrawal of Hook Reserves from Division Two it leaves just 10 teams and their two matches against Overton United B and Bounty United, which both which ended in defeat, have been expunged from the table. Despite losing those three points Overton United B are top on goal difference after a massive 11- 1 win against Basingstoke Athletic Reserves.

Three of their players, Kieran Chard, Rob Perrett and Kyle Buckland all scored hat tricks, with Paul Eldridge and Richard Spiers netting the remaining two.

AFC Berg picked up their first league points of the season after they beat TDI Group 3-2, the winner coming from Kieran Alleyne five minutes from time.

Vincent Mudane opened Berg's account and Alleyne made it 2-0, before TDI replied with two goals from Graham Jenkins and Toni Roworth equalised, before Alleyne with a 35-yard shot sealed the points.

The good run by Basingstoke United came to an end when they were beaten 3-1 at Bounty United. Their goal was scored by Lewis Clayton five minutes from time.
