BASINGSTOKE Town manager Jason Bristow has agreed a deal to keep him at The Camrose for another season - and he has made striker Chris Flood his first signing.

The Dragons boss had already told The Gazette that he was keen to remain at his hometown club and following a meeting with chairman Rafi Razzak this morning, it has been announced that both he and assistant Michael Gilkes have agreed contracts that will keep them at Town until the end of next season.

Bristow's first move after agreeing to stay was to tie up a new deal for striker Chris Flood, who scored 19 goals for the club this season.

Flood said: “I’m very happy to pledge my future to Basingstoke Town. This season’s been successful and a really enjoyable one to be part of too.

"The fans have been great to me and I’m looking forward to building on the success and taking it a step further next season.”

Bristow added: "Chris has been a big player for us this season and we’re delighted he has committed to the club for another season.

"He has scored some big goals this season and been a huge part of our success. We look forward to seeing him score some more goals for us next season.”
