OVERTON United produced an excellent first-half performance on their way to a 4-1 win over visiting Fleetlands on Saturday.
Danny Houseman opened the scoring after 15 minutes, tucking home from the penalty spot after he had been fouled in the box. Alex Jupp doubled the lead 10 minutes later, picking up a pass from his brother, Nick, before beating a couple of defenders and slotting home.
The hosts added a third goal five minutes before the break, Jesse Todd forcing the Fleetlands goalkeeper into a mistake before producing an inch-perfect lob from 25 yards.
Fleetlands pulled a goal back just after the hour, but Overton were not to be denied and added a fourth goal with 15 minutes remaining, Alex Spencer beating the offside trap before slotting home.
Overton are up to seventh in the Hampshire Premier League table as a result of their big win. They complete their campaign with a home game against Clanfield on Saturday.
