READING recorded their third Championship draw on the trot as they shared a 0-0 draw with visiting Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The home side had the better of the first 45 minutes, but were unable to force the lead.

After the break, Hal Robson-Kanu went close for the Royals, while sub Hope Akpan came closest to a winner as his header was cleared off the line by the Blackburn defence.

Rovers best effort came from Ben Marshall’s cross which Adam Federici was forced to push over.

After the match, Reading manager Steve Clarke said: “Three draws in our last three games proves we are getting more difficult to beat. I felt we were in control of this game.”

The games continue to come thick and fast for the Royals as they entertain league leaders Bournemouth on Tuesday night (kick-off 8pm).

This is their last game before they head to Wembley next weekend to face Arsenal in their FA Cup semi-final.
