READER Maggie Brown (nee McPhee) sent in this picture of her class at Glasgow's Saracen School in 1949; that's her sitting second from right in the front row.
Maggie, like all the other kids, including her brother John, extreme right, top row, were washed and brushed within an inch of their lives for the big day, with their hair neatly brushed and combed and their Sunday best clothes freshly washed and ironed.
Maggie can name all the children in the picture. If you went to the school, take a close look and see if you can recognise any old friends.
